Statement of Faith

At Sweetgum Learning Center, our faith guides how we learn, teach, and care for one another. We seek to create a community rooted in love, respect, wonder, and meaningful relationships.

Our Beliefs

​

We believe in one God, who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a loving relationship that models connection, community, and care.

​

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully human, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Through His life and teachings, we see God’s love, grace, and invitation to live with compassion and purpose.

We believe the Holy Spirit is present and active among us, guiding our learning, nurturing faith, and helping us grow in understanding and love.

 

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, offering truth, wisdom, and guidance as we seek to live faithfully.​

We believe each child is created in the image of God, full of potential, dignity, and wonder. As educators and families, we partner together to nurture the whole child, mind, body, heart, and spirit, through relationships, exploration, creativity, and joyful learning.

Our Community

As a school community, we strive to reflect Christ’s love in our daily life together by practicing kindness, respect, curiosity, forgiveness, and grace. We seek to create a place where every child is known, valued, and deeply loved.
